Honey Dipper Place Cards for Rosh Hashanah

A name scrawled on the back of some scrap paper will technically do the job, it’s true. But! These honey dipper place cards make a case for something a little more intentional. They’re minimalist and symbolic, and take not much more than looping a slim card around a small wooden dipper with baker’s twine or silk ribbon, then placing it atop each plate.

Also, a note on baker’s twine, which I just love: Did you know it comes in every color imaginable?! Seriously, every color. I like grey for its subtlety, red for apples, and blue for Hanukkah. If you’re someone who keeps a drawer full of ribbons and string (I am sure you are), this is the kind of project that rewards a good rummage.
